Our Team

Steve and Susie have been in Church leadership for more than 35 years. Prior to this, Steve completed a boiler-making apprenticeship in 1982, and Susie worked in accounts for an energy provider. Together they led Liberty Christian Church in Brisbane’s South, (from which, Champions Church was planted), for 17 years. During this time, the congregation grew to more than 1000 attending the weekend services, they operated a fulltime Bible School, sent teams out to start new churches, and purchased a multi-million dollar Shopping Centre complex, transforming it into one of the State’s premier Church ministry facilities.

From 2008 – 2011, Steve travelled the world, speaking at Churches, and Leadership conferences in the USA, UK, Europe and Africa where his ministry has inspired people and churches to move to new levels of influence and faith.

In March 2011 Steve and Susie were appointed Senior pastors of Champions Church, on Brisbane's bayside. Steve, with his wife Susie have four adult children - Rebecca '83, Renae '86, Rachel '89, Andrew '94, and 5 beautiful grandkids.

As Vice President of the Australian Christian Churches in Queensland, (2012 - present), Steve continues to provide leadership to more than 300 churches.
